Spring Garden Growth..What's Up this Month?

In our Northern California garden the weather has been beautiful.  Maybe too beautiful considering how desperately we need rain but things are really growing well even with the drip system being cut back some.

The peas, seeded in the garden on Feb. 22 are doing well:

The carrots and lettuce, both seeded Feb. 22 are ready to enjoy too. The lettuce, Stardom Mix, and the carrots, Babbette, both from Renee’s Garden came up well and taste great! These will be my go-to carrots from now on!

Looks like next up will be our beets…then the wait begins for summer squash, corn and tomatoes…can’t wait!  Work in winter pays off in spring and summer!
